It’s time to rock and roll! The Saturn/Uranus opposition on February 5 showed what you have to change. The lunar eclipse on February 9 showed what you have to leave. This week you get moving on what you know you have to do.
Motivation abounds, thanks to Mars meeting Jupiter twice this week, by zodiacal degree on Tuesday and by declination on Saturday. Be prepared to be busy. Very busy. When the planet of ambition and drive teams up with the cosmic super-sizer, there’s no telling at the outset how far you’ll go. Once you launch into a task, impulses and opportunities will mushroom to make it bigger, better, grander and more ambitious. Lasso this energy and actively push your dreams forward. Brainstorm with friends. Promote your ideas in front of every group you know. The more an idea departs from the usual protocol (or your previous thinking), the more energy it deserves – and the more energy you will enthusiastically give it.
It’s unlikely you’ll have to resort to conscious project management to harness this transit. (After all, Jupiter is aligning with Mars, in the words of the song, and the air is vibrating with the sense that this it the time for which you were born.) More likely you’ll fly or be swept up naturally into absolutely the direction that you need to go. In case you are unsure or second-guessing yourself, though, here are some pointers. Think of everything you’ve learned, realized and decided in the past two weeks. They brought one defining moment after another, when the dial on your view of reality clicked from “old” to “new.” The shift in perspective wasn’t unexpected; it’s been in the works for months. The timing probably was, though, as changes you’d penciled in for a date to be determined later this year suddenly lurched into immediate priority status.
At the same time, your internal rewiring hit a stage of completion that makes you able to implement these changes. Think of what has just happened to a longstanding psychological issue that has held you back. You know the one: It’s the issue that keeps popping up no matter how much therapy and personal work you’ve done. You reached a new resolution of it in the last week. When you realized that you had to leave certain people and situations (or accepted that they were leaving you), your relationship to this issue finally, permanently changed. It may never entirely leave, but it has lost its lock on you. Bless the departures; they did you the profound favor of prying you out of this hold.
Each of these recent moments of realization and resolution turned your sights to your future. You already have some idea of the direction, even if you’re not certain of the destination. It involves and leads to your unique path, your unique contribution to the world, your individual destiny. It’s simultaneously scary and exhilarating to drop the excuses and the props and sandbags and soar on the power and strength of your own genius. There’s no going back, though, because your balloon has already taken off. The initial sailing is so smooth that you’re not likely to panic. Last weekend brought a huge surge of optimism as Jupiter moved across the North Node of the Moon. Mars crosses the same spot on Monday and revs up your desire to move on. Helpful messages and information will follow come Saturday, when Mercury meets the North Node as well. He clears the retrograde shadow the next day, so communication and travel matters will finally feel full speed ahead.
As you zoom forward, don’t speed by the three luscious opportunities the skies are setting up this week. Be on the lookout Monday for a financial increase or a happy-making development on the social front. That development could be subtle, one that you recognize in retrospect, but not so with the opportunities that Venus and Mars are setting up. The love goddess and warrior god have been simpatico all month and setting up situations that build up motivation to go after what you want. Doorways open now to romance or money deals that you’ve been actively pursuing. They won’t land in your lap. You have to take the action of walking through the door. The door, however, won’t be a trick you have to locate or a trap that drops you through the floor. The doorway will be in plain sight by Wednesday. The third opportunity aspect builds for the rest of the week. As the Sun moves into his sextile with Pluto on Saturday, streamlining and focus are at hand. Choices are simpler now that you know your direction and you’re pursuing what you want. Use them as your guidepost and it is obvious what to pick and what to leave untouched. You know yourself too well now to complicate your journey.
