The Neptune-Chiron-Jupiter Stellium in Aquarius

Being filled with words and a lover of writing, I’m usually big on intros…but let’s just get Aquarian and jump right in:

What is Each Energy Asking/Saying/Offering Through Aquarius?
Neptune. This is the planet of connecting to something greater than ourselves, of opening up to experience more of life and the world than our egocentric selves (the capital “I” a human usually lets monopolize time in the driver’s seat) can experience on its own. Through the lens of Aquarius, this connection can happen in sudden and new ways, with an objective slant, or at speeds we’re not used to.

Jupiter. Here’s the planet of expansion. It’s also about faith and risk as each is necessary to stretch into new territory to expand. Jupiter rules what we know but can’t prove with our rational faculties, and I think of Jupiter’s terrain as including what each person uses as a guiding principle for his or her life, which could be called a belief structure or philosophy (terms more commonly associated with this planet). Jupiter has to do with luck only insofar as we’re willing to trust our intuitive hunches and “go for it.” Through the lens of Aquarius, Jupiter’s invitation to imagine and step into better circumstances than we’ve previously imagined takes on a flavor that can seem like even more risk, yet we should realize that Jupiter’s medicine in Aquarius requires quick leaps of faith and letting go of regret before we leap.

Chiron. This is thought to be the energy of wounding and healing, but I offer that it’s the energy of experiencing wounding and healing to understand the true nature of compassion. We all carry various kinds of wounds, even when we cover them over so well that we think no one can tell. We become expert at both trying not to stir up the wounding even as we subconsciously work very hard to create scenarios to act it out so we can prove ourselves right about it – we do some really wacked out things with and for our Chiron energy. In Aquarius, there are simultaneous possibilities of wounding and healing very quickly (which is to say trauma and the sudden release of trauma) or in new/inventive ways, but also gaining an objectivity or detachment about the nature of pain and suffering while shifting into new ways to understand and relate to self and others with deeper compassion.

What About the Combo?
In my universe, these three together in this sign are a gold mine of wonderful possibilities. Where our “actionable information” comes from is a giant one. Jupiter represents intuition/right brain stuff, Neptune a psychic knowing resulting from our connection with the greater whole around us, and Chiron an emotional/energetic sensitivity to the inner realities of self and others. And all this working through the sign of suddenness, inventiveness, receiving flashes of clear inner knowing, and gaining objective views and detachment.

There’s the possibility of a potent punch of information from alternative sources for you…if you’re willing to open to them. I tell people all the time that just about all the information we could ask for is available to us, if we’re skilled in numerous ways of gathering it and willing to see what we might find. (As a psychic medium, I can say that there are certain pieces of info an individual may not have access to regarding him- or herself, but the energetic field of which we’re all a part, the fabric of the life force of the Earth itself, offers us all manner of information all the time…just sitting there…ripe for the picking…)

So, are you willing to accept input from sources other than your brain and the brains of others? Will you risk trusting your emotional and intuitive sensitivity? Will you be willing to see whatever it is that limits your natural intuitive and psychic abilities? (Yes, we all have them!!! They work differently in different people, but everyone has them.) Will you look those things in eye and work through them?

This stellium offers each and every one of us the opportunity to try on for size a fabulous new way of understanding ourselves and our surroundings. For each person this will be different, but know that there’s some new source of info, an upgrade to your personal psi modem, or a shift up in speed of obtaining or processing info dependent upon your willingness to release attitudes, emotional patterns and beliefs that do not serve you. I can tell you that at root, you are Spirit having a human experience, and everything you perceive to be bad, difficult or unfun about your human experience has to do with your conditioning and the attitudes and beliefs you have about that conditioning. As we perch on the cusp of the Aquarian Age, this Aquarian stellium can do a lot for your adaptation to new ways of being…if you’re willing to let it.

What if it’s Hitting Something in My Natal Chart?
Do you have stuff in late Aquarius (say, 23 degrees and up)? What about late degrees of other fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio)? What about the other two air signs, Gemini and Libra? Or the late degrees of Sagittarius and Aries?

If you do, the Ne-Ju-Chi stellium is affecting you more personally. Consider the nature of the aspect the stellium is making to your natal planets:
· The conjunction will infuse the energy into your natal placement in late Aquarius. Your natal stuff’s supposed to get more Neptuney-Jupitery-Chirony at this time, having the energy poured into and all over you.
· The sextile (if your natal stuff’s in late Sagittarius or Aries) will have this group of three stimulating your natal planet/point. Sextiles push our buttons, and our willingness to get stirred out of our comfort zone and reach into new territory makes a huge difference to how we experience sextiles (if we’re afraid of doing something new, we might trip when we take that first new step! If we’re not, we can learn to improvise).
· The square (if your stuff’s in Taurus or Scorpio) will present friction to this part of you. Trying to get you to change, it can feel like building, uncomfortable pressure. The solution is to be (or get) willing to change because of the influx of new information – something’s gotta give, you might as well go willingly!
· The trine (if your stuff’s in Libra or Gemini) will offer a boost of support to whatever they’re already doing (so you should think about what they’re currently doing and see if that works for you!).
· The opposition (if your stuff’s in late Leo) will confront you, show you something about yourself that you normally don’t see and, in fact, can’t see without this alternate, full-frontal view of yourself.

Now that that’s all spelled out, I can say that if you have something being activated by this configuration, you can choose to take on the homework it offers you. My channeling teacher gave us weekly “homeplay” assignments, which always struck a worn-out-from-self-growth part of me as deeply and seriously annoying, almost an affront, but the rest of me gets it. The homeplay question for you is: Are you willing to be changed by what you experience and learn? (The best part of all of this is that the choice is yours.)

What About Kids Born During This Time?
Hey, great question! You’re reading a karmic astrologer here, after all. People are always products of the times into which they’re born. We’re living through this time, but little ones who leave their motherships for their own relationship with terra firma while this stellium is in play will have this signature for life. Their Ne-Ju-Chi functions will be fused for life, which is to say that their capacity to flow with the greater whole of which they’re part (Ne), their belief/faith/risk function (Ju), and their capacity to respond to suffering and wounding with compassion (Chi) are joined at the hip for life. They’ll fall all over the spectrum of possible behavioral responses to the energies within them (based on their choices, which will be informed by karma and conditioning), but the energies are there and working together all the time. You won’t be able to talk to these kids’ Jupiters, for example, without also talking to their Neptunes and Chirons. They’re fused, nothing to do for it.

Karmically speaking, Uranian energy will prove in some ways difficult for them. Until mid-August of this year, the transiting South Node of the Moon is in Leo. Which is to say that babies born until mid-August will have their natal SNs in Leo. The SN represents our cache of emotional memories, and these kids are coming with past lives lived in, about and for Leo energy. Aquarius as their North Node will ask them to get more Aquarian, to gain objectivity, to learn look ahead, be inventive, and create freedom for themselves (the mandates of Aquarian energy).

Our north nodes challenge us, being the opposite of our comfort zones (SNs), and these kids will have these three bodies conjunct in a sign in many ways unfamiliar to them. They’ll need support in finding healthy ways to live with and constructive ways to express these parts of themselves, as they will possess inborn prejudices about those who live carry strong Uranian energies (they’re the Other, after all, and sometimes perceived as the enemy – we all crave justification for staying in the comfort of our South Nodes – and at some level, we often prefer familiarity, even when the details stink). The right reasons for and uses of freedom will be important lessons for them to explore and incorporate as they grow.

What Now?
My wish for you is that you learn during this time something new about the nature of trust and faith, why you might not like to if you don’t, and develop some familiarity with ways of receiving and processing information that have nothing or little to do with your brain. I’d love it if you walked away from your experience with this stellium with a new view of your preferences for and willingness to locate yourself within the greater fabric of life, trust the sometimes odd information that comes from intuition (and risk acting on it!), and change your mind about what pain is for, just what healing is, and when and why you can choose to have and live from a place of compassion.
