As May 2012 begins you can have a sense of pride that you have graduated the first third of the most powerful year in prophesy. More than the personal challenges and global transitions we are experiencing during this monumental shift, we are all showing up day in and day out to seed the ideas and ideals that will flower in the new age coming. To this end, we are all powerful beings here right now and it is very important that we honor our talents and vision for the future as well as reach out to others to let them know we see what they are trying to do and validate it’s merit. I see you.
May opens with a SUPER FULL MOON in SCORPIO on the 5th that will be effectively more powerful and intense as it brings an emotional peak or ending around a sexual attraction or issue, divorce, reproductive matter, life and death situation, or some financially shared matter such as a loan, mortgage, inheritance, settlement, bankruptcy, alimony, child support, insurance or tax issue, commissions or royalties, or a partner’s money. You may be celebrating the achievements here as you wrap things up or you may be bringing things to a close. This may bring a relationship of import to color the situation as well as Mercury opposes Saturn today. So you will be face to face with someone over decisions, agreements, ideas, in talks or meetings, or writing and it will be serious as you look at commitment, endings, limits, responsibilities, or structuring things.
You have until the 9th to have your talks, make decisions, write, or deal with agreements that have a personal connection to you or involve your brand, name, image, ego, body, or identity. On the 9th Mercury moves into Taurus and you will have from now through the 24th to engage others in talks or meetings, write or deal with agreements, that focus on making money or increasing income, your possessions or acquisitions, building things, the pursuit of pleasure, and anything associated with your values/being valued.
From the get-go this month we are feeling the shadow of Venus Retrograde. After just coming off of an all year Mars Retrograde and a Mercury Retrograde that overlaid it last month, facing the other personal planet about to Retrograde seems like too much but the universe is wise, literally, it breathes Sophia, so trust that on the 15th when we all slip into the VENUS RETROGRADE that there is a reason to slow down or back-track in the love department so that any issues or ideas can be readdressed, reworked, revisited, or released. You have from now through June 27th to deal with this energy and it may mean someone from the past resurfacing so that you can see if there is any reason to re-establish the connection or it may mean someone currently in the picture pulls back for one reason or another so that the space can fill you in on some important aspect you would have overlooked. Venus also rules our personal income and in Gemini there may be a need to revisit the ideas, writing, agreements, or offers from the past, take some meetings, have talks or make decisions regarding what was on the table then or what you should have done to make it work. Venus Retrograde is NOT the best time to have any NEW kind of beauty treatment, cosmetic surgery or to purchase luxury items or art unless the purchases are based on going back to an item you were interested in during the past or the surgery is about fixing or adding to work that was already begun in the past. It is a good time to research in these areas, visit and meet with anyone that can help you choose what you need, layaway or deposit, and book for the first of July.
The energy on the 16th is very powerful and involves two configurations with outer bodies. Jupiter inconjuncts Saturn so the desire to expand, grow, adventure, prosper, and seek happiness is all about earning money while the need to scale back, restrict, limit, take on more responsibility or face obligations, commit long term or end something, and deal with ambitions or authority figures is all about a partner, agent, attorney, specialist, competitor, or opponent. As these two energetic come into perfection on the aspect today there will be a powerful need to make some adjustments so that your life is heading in the right direction here for you. Mars harmonizes with Pluto as well adding some powerful need to act on the work effort or pursuit, to organize or clean out, to analyze or attend to details, to deal with co-workers or employees, health or pets, and in this make the changes or transformations you are seeking with your goals, career, ambitions, or dealings with authority figures. This will not be a mellow day.
The Sun enters Gemini on the 20th where he will shine his light over the next 30 days. Today is also the NEW MOON in Gemini and this New Moon is a SOLAR ECLIPSE! This is a seriously big day for everyone. It cannot be more clear that it is time to start something new and with this it is time to eclipse out some old part of yourself that could get in the way of this new beginning. Gemini means this is all about ideas, writing, merchant interests, transportation or vehicles, short trips or local activities, brothers, sisters or neighbors, moves, agreements, talks and meetings, pitching stories, flirtations, duality, doing two things at once, learning, and big decisions. So set your intentions and make your moves in the next 2 weeks for best results, if you can think it, you can manifest it.
Mercury exits Taurus and joins the gang in Gemini on the 24th so from this day forward you are in a good position to sign the contracts, write or get your writing heard, pitch those ideas or hear news about the pitch, and in any other way bring the communications home. You may hear from that sibling or neighbor today, decide to buy a car or book a short jaunt to a nearby town, or start penning that novel.
The month wraps with inconjuncts from this Sun and Mercury position in Gemini to Pluto in Capricorn on the 28-29th. This means that the decisions you are making will push you hard during these days as you step up to do something ambitious, to make your move on the career front or with the boss, to deal with the authority figure or reach for a goal. If you need to sign papers or come to terms with anyone now it will mean negotiating and bending a bit or working around some issue that you can’t quantify yet. This is great motivating energy for the mind and any obstacles that you have felt regarding directions you are taking will be focal now as you see something else still needs to be worked out and you set out to make it happen. Offers that come in now will require some more tweaking or be so big that you will have to scramble in other areas to get it all together in time, not such a bad thing.

What does April have in store for us this year?! First planetary shift of the month occurs on Tuesday the 3rd when Venus exits Taurus and enters Gemini. This is always an interesting shift since we are going from a grounded, prodding field of influence in matters concerning love, income, beauty, and women, and moving into a light, flirty, communicative field. It is important to take note what you begin to decide with this new placement because in May Venus will Retrograde in Gemini and we will see reversals or do-overs from May 15th through June 27th. The degrees this will cover include 23.59 of Gemini to 7.29 of Gemini so as soon as April 12th we begin to cover this span in Gemini that will then be retraced at the Retrograde. If you want to know what is up ahead, pay attention to what is happening during this second half of April for clues.
Mercury will go Direct on April 4th. This Retrograde took us back through our personal needs, body image, identity issues, passions, and anger through Aries and dropped us then backtracking through our secrets, hidden agendas and issues, addictions, choices affecting isolation or retreat, artistic interests, spiritual needs, clandestine affairs, research, development, dealings with institutions, and investigations of Pisces. You should now have some clear sense of what you want, what is to be left behind and what you figured out should take you into fresh new territory now. You have an all clear with agreements, decision making, writing projects, and meetings as well as with electronics and transportation needs after today.
The FULL MOON in LIBRA arrives on the 6th and brings at least one important and serious relationship to a peak celebration or ending. You may be seeing something come through involving justice or balance, equity or fairness, but in all likelihood this will be a time when achievements involving romantic, marriage or business partners, agents, attorneys, specialists, advocates, experts, competitors, or opponents will culminate or you will wrap things up, call it quits and walk away.
The annual Retrograde of Pluto begins on the 10th and will last until September 17/18th. Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn where he continues to help us deconstruct and rebuild in areas of business, ambition, career, status, leadership, authority, reputation, fame, and goals. The Retrograde period will ease some of this powerful transformative energy for a while and help us to all go within and catch up with the new sense of empowerment we have earned up to this point. This is a good time to look at how your ability to work within triangles to reach goals, how your sexuality plays into what you go after or achieve, how divorce has or will affect ambitions or status, and how all major financial matters are going for you. Take the Retrograde to assess this and when Pluto goes Direct again in the fall you will be in a stronger position to storm ahead through this life changing energy.
Mars is the other personal planet like Mercury that has been Retrograde and he finally goes Direct on the 13th very late in the evening EST so you will not truly feel his rejoining forward movement until the 14th onward. Mars has taken us back over work, health and pet issues or interests to let us rework things and address any anger or passions that worked their way into those situations. You now will see things begin to move ahead again on the work front, with co-workers, employees, services, health, pets, passion, action, and motivating efforts!
Last October 13th (2011) the Sun sat with Saturn by degree to begin a cycle round the zodiac and on the 15th of April he comes half way. This turning point or opposition is about coming face to face with a person over commitment, ambition, endings, leadership, and the needs of the relationship. It will point out where you are or need to be with a romantic, marriage or business partner, representative, competitor, or opponent. It falls within the degrees of May’s Venus Retrograde so you will be revisiting what goes on now next month. It’s a time to be serious about it all. It is also the last day that Mercury is in Pisces so thoughts may be a bit cloudy, romantic, depressed, weepy, isolated, or decisions may have strong Karmic overtones.
Mercury moves into Aries on the 16th and everyone will begin to put themselves first in the choices they are making. It is a dynamic time for brave decisions, talks and meetings that are motivating or passionate, more vigor and intensity behind writing projects, with siblings, in the local neighborhood or in short trips you take, and you may be diving into something that helps you make some choices over image, body, identity, or brand. You will find that during this phase people are more willing to fight for their ideas so go easy on the religion and politics or any other hot topic unless you are ready for a mouthful.
The Sun moves into Taurus on the 19th to kick off a 30 day cycle where our values will be in the spotlight and we will be pouring our physical energy or personal touches into making money and dealing with possessions. The NEW MOON in TAURUS follows close behind on the 21st and gives us our strongest 2 week window to seed new money making ventures, begin something that aligns more closely with our values and put new options into play regarding possessions or acquisitions.
The 25th may be a day of note as Mercury in the warrior/passion sign of Aries squares the intense lord of the underworld, Pluto. You may notice that some heavy decision is being pushed upon you or that news comes in that is intense or you may be entering talks or meetings that are powerful and all about big financial resources, sexual attractions or issues, reproduction, or divorce. Because Pluto is recently Retrograde and Mercury is recently Direct there is some part of this that you are working through internally and it may just play out like that as you come to some new decision that is a game changer.

So much of the theme in this last month has been about allowing us the opportunity to revisit the past in our lives and to rework the details, get the services set up in functionally supportive ways, to revisit any issues or needs with co-workers, employees or around our organizational skills. It has allowed us to go back and take care of any health needs that were still hanging around as well as to get real about what we needed to do so our environmental and animal concerns were working properly. That trend continues throughout March as Mars continues to Retrograde in critical, analytical Virgo. Personal planets are felt personally and even if you feel as though these areas may be taking longer or playing out in a slower way, it is a gift from the universe that is closing out on April 13th so take advantage of the time to get it right.
Mercury will be another key player this month as he starts the ball rolling by moving into Aries on the 2nd. This placement turns our thoughts and ideas onto ourselves and gives everyone a more personal stake in the decisions they make this month. You will be more willing to fight for your ideas or storm out over talks that don’t suit you as well as find ways to express your passionate nature in writing or the meetings you hold. It seems that there is some need to revisit the past here as well because on the 12th Mercury begins his first Retrograde of the year and now not only are we revisiting past physical or ego needs on the work front, in health and over animals and environment via Mars Retrograde, we are also going to revisit, reconnect and release ideas, decisions, and personal or physical identity needs by heading back into the past through talks, meetings, writing projects, short trips, local activities, and the way we are thinking now through April 4th! If you need to sign documents this month your best bet is over agreements that have already been on the table, hold off on pursuing new people or situations and contracts until this three week period is up if you can or at least give yourself a bit of wiggle room if you must sign now since something is bound to change.
Venus exits Aries and takes up residence in Taurus on the 5th, a placement she is far more comfortable traveling through and here she will turn our desires for love and money in a more earthy, sensual direction. This is going to be about enjoying the good things in life when it comes to love, needing to see a show of affection through fine wine, good food, trinkets and gifts, lusty lolling about with one another, and slow and steady sensuality. Money will be spent on solid, simple things or items of beauty and luxury. If you have been struggling to attract a way to earn money this transit can help you get the ball rolling.
Hands down the luckiest and most rewarding days of this month ahead are falling on the 13th and 14th when a series of configurations are going to align with Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto in harmonious accord. This is going to bring a very powerful inflow of luck and expansion for you in areas of love or money and tied to past efforts or interests so if you would like to hit the mark, take note of these days and how it plays out for your sign in the detailed forecast below.
The FULL MOON in VIRGO on the 8th will bring work, health and pet matters to a peak and since Mars is currently Retrograde in these areas you may be getting to the high point of what the Retrograde has been about now. Look at celebrations, achievements and endings playing out around efforts, services, work, co-workers, employees, health matters or goals, animals, environmental interests, organizational needs, and routine.
The Spring Equinox arrives on the 20th as the Sun moves into Aries where he will tour for the next 30 days. This puts a spotlight on personal and physical needs, goals, and actions, bringing more activity here and more leverage to go after what you will. The NEW MOON on the 22nd is also in ARIES and kicks off your 2 week window to seed new ventures or start fresh. This New Moon is going to conspire with Retrograde Mercury and Uranus so an idea, agreement, writing project, or decision from the past is part of the mix as will be something exciting, revolutionary, unique, independent, or changing going forward.
Mercury was the first one in this month and he is the last one out as he moves into Pisces on his Retrograde pathway back into the past on the 23rd. From now through April 4th your thoughts will turn to past films, music, art, romance, spiritual interests, hospitals, addictions, research, investigations, or development. This is a time to go within and the area this plays out in your chart will be where this past inspiration or artistic talent can be reworked or revisited.

Well, you’ve heard me talk about what I’ve coined as an upcoming ‘artistic and spiritual renaissance’ for years now on my radio show and in my columns, and as we enter February 2012 it finally arrives! On February 3rd Neptune/Poseidon moves into the sign of his rulership, Pisces, where he will take up the crown and reside for the next 14 years. Not since 1847 have we experienced the lord of dreams and imagination in such an enriched position. I cannot emphasize enough how much this transit is going to change the landscape of our lives.
Together we embark upon a journey of surrender and magic. This energy field, now empowered to its fullest, engages our sixth sense, our psychic abilities, the world of our dreams, and the signs and synchronicities of life. It brings a flood of enlightenment coursing through the art world, carrying the subconscious mind of our painters, filmmakers, musicians, poets, sculptors, and dancers to new fantastical heights. It illuminates the bridge across the veil unlocking hitherto hidden knowledge and insights into the spirit, our immortal souls, the afterlife, and our natural intuitive understanding regarding multi-dimensional worlds and reality. It will as well unleash a new level of con-artist and deception through those that invoke the lower frequencies here and we can expect to hear news of these hidden enemies to the spirit arising as we learn new ways to combat such falsehoods. In the mundane world we can expect to see the way we approach hospitals, prisons, psychiatric wards, and other institutions in a more all-embracing way with an upsurge of spiritual, holistic approaches and breakthroughs in medicine and battling addiction based on mind/body/spirit. As Neptune rules large bodies of water you can expect to see headlines in February about major dramas or breakthroughs involving the seas and for the story of our oceans and ports to become more of an evolving focus over the arc of this transit. On a personal level we are all going to learn to trust that inner knowing more, to seek ways to connect and trust in our higher power and finally, as the ruler of the 12th house of past lifetimes, we may experience during the next 14 years a great releasing of many lifetimes of pain and suffering that we’ve carried for far too long, we may be allowed the window of opportunity to reconnect with a past lifetime goal or ideal to pick it back up and carry it forth and we may meet the greatest soul-mates/time travelers of our epic quest up ahead.
As if to emphasize the importance of this event the month fills with Piscean energy as Mercury brings our thinking and decision making into this territory on the 13th, followed by the Sun and our vital physical energy moving here on the 19th and a NEW MOON bringing us 2 strong weeks of fresh starts here beginning on the 21st.
Within 4 days of Neptune entering Pisces, on Feb. 7th, we have a FULL MOON in Leo and Saturn will Retrograde. The Full Moon brings matters of the heart to a peak in our world and marks a time of highpoints and endings with lovers, children and creative projects. Retrogrades can feel frustrating as things slow a bit in the area of rulership or they afford us the opportunity to retrace steps, revisit the past, reconnect or release, so we can move ahead. Saturn will be Retrograde until June 25th. This is a period affecting relationships with romantic or business partners, agents, attorneys, specialist, competitors, or opponents and will ask you to slow things down, release or revisit the past over rules, structure, ambitions, limits, restrictions, responsibilities, leadership, and dealing with authority figures. If you experience a shift in a relationship at this time understand that you are meant to let go or get serious about any inner work that needs to be done regarding these themes and your commitment to yourself and to them. On the positive side, if you have felt the weight or strain of Saturn in one relationship this period should ease that for you as you focus on what you should do.
On a personal level, you will likely feel the shift of Venus into Aries and her subsequent embrace with Uranus on the 8th and 9th. Here the goddess of love, beauty, income, and women will exit the dreamy, mystical realm of Pisces where issues were more likely to be about escapism, boundaries, fantasy, alcohol or drugs, hidden agendas, and clandestine affairs, to enter the arena of the warrior. Issues that may arise with love or earnings will have to do with selfish behavior, arguments or jealousy now. Where you may have been willing to push down feelings you were having with someone during the Pisces phase and sacrifice yourself on the proverbial cross, in Aries you will be mad as hell and ready to let them know it or the passions will burst to the surface and demand redress! The positive news about Venus in this go-getter sign is that now you can see just what it is you want and take action to pursue it, you can fight the good fight, unleash the passion and express your own needs from a feistier position. Expect some shake-ups, surprises or exciting new opportunities to arrive at this point as Uranus, the great awakener, electrifies the field.
