We have entered the 12th month of this auspicious 12th year of a new millennium. I am present to the preciousness of life, the insubstantiality of the drama, and the truth that I am here to experience the experience of the experience (a play on words from Derek O’Neill). From the Cosmic Astrology perspective, we are in the month on the cosmic clock where all of the lessons of the year come together to form the big picture.
Last year, Stephanie gave a teleconference on 2012 and gave the year a motto: Let It Be. For me this theme has taken shape in the most wonderful and unexpected ways. It has been in the shedding of judgement, as in let “the issue” BE (read there are no problems here), let the person BE (everyone is having their own experience), let myself BE (I am fine), just LET it all exist as it is without qualifying, quantifying, quarreling, questioning…you get the picture. There is a neutrality that comes out of this way of being, by golly I think it’s balance! It’s worth it to contemplate for yourself – how has “Let It Be” shown up in your life?

I’ve reached that point in the Mercury retrograde cycle where I am “so over” my fear-based mental chatter and its typical banter. It’s comical and yet not so funny. Thank GOD for a couple of things – 1. Monday Mercury stations to turn direct and 2. In my own journey, my ego banter is officially BORING me so much that it doesn’t hurt me emotionally. I hope you too are rolling your eyes at the yada yada that goes on in your head. I’m hoping the next phase will bring me to the point of laughing hysterically when it tries to pull its usual antics. It’s in these moments where I clamor for change and am screaming “bring it on already.”
This week we will experience the second eclipse of the season, the lunar eclipse when the Moon is Full at 6 degrees Gemini. It’s an event that accentuates the Sagittarius/Gemini polarity in Cosmic Astrology, two very demanding and commanding aspects of consciousness. When one of my Cosmic Path of Initiations clients reaches the 5 o’clock hour, which is the 5th month after their birthday, they are often struggling in some way with overwhelm. Gemini is an air sign and when we are empowered in this part of our consciousness we are able to be multifaceted and focus on many things at once, but if we are struggling, it often means we are dispersing our energy to avoid dealing with something. You’ve got to deal with it and put the love back into what you are doing. The Gemini experience is best described as one where we must consciously work toward moving our mental focus down into our center and come from the heart. We must follow the heart in action, not just in theory. The thing is, is the mind always wants to talk us out of following the heart and thus creates separation or duality.

The heat is on, isn’t it? If you are like me you are feeling a lot of internal creative energy that wants to move in many different directions. My project list is long and I want to do everything at once and have it be done in a second. (God, when is my Bewitched style nose-twinkle magic going to activate?!!) My way of being can lead to dispersion, so I do one thing at a time for an allotted time, change tasks and redirect my focus away from the chaotic feeling by putting it on the single task at hand. Either that or I just decide to sit still and observe what is going on inside. I know a lot is shifting internally when I want to gut and re-arrange my whole house. Ha! But seriously, that means my whole being is being rearranged – outer reflects inner, inner reflects outer – that kind of thing.
Mars is the archetype of our physical body/physical environment and he is moving fast toward the Uranus Pluto square. This is momentous. It is a defining moment to say the least. Please connect with your heart right now. . . . feel the love expanding outward from your being. The representative of what it means to make manifest (bring something into physical form) is connecting with the energetic that is redefining an age. Wow! If anything, this is an initiation – a meaningful transition from one state into another through an alchemical process. You are prepared; we are prepared, because this is what we’ve been up to for the last 30 years. Nuff said.

If you haven’t read Lauren Gorgo’s post on the Magical 13, this is the week to read it. Her message is all about the truth of 13 and the activation commencing this week. We are fast approaching some momentous landmarks in our 2012 calendar, and even though time doesn’t really exist, this passage is something many of us want to celebrate. That’s because it is initiation time, meaning many things, but primarily a rite of passage earned through the dedicated pursuit of consciousness.
Tuesday is not only the 13th of the month, but a New Moon and total solar eclipse at 22 Scorpio. Stephanie’s analogy of a solar eclipse being like a reboot of consciousness is an effect one. When the Sun, archetype of our individual consciousness, goes dark because the Moon blocks the light, we ostensibly get to sit in ego-less stillness – the realm of the Divine Feminine. When the Light returns, we expand and are newly present to that which was once unconscious. In a couple weeks at the Full Moon, there will be a lunar eclipse, which is another kind of re-boot experience. As we move between eclipses, there is a feeling of acceleration…In my own experience; light bulbs go off frequently where once I used to put effort into understanding something now the understanding is seeming effortless. Stephanie also likens the time between eclipses to the physics idea of a wormhole, where time and space collapse and one can travel distances that once seemed vast. So this year, we enter the eclipse cycle at 22 Scorpio – a master number and a sign whose consciousness is where we realize our creative mastery.
