The skies have a united front for this month's New Moon. In the midst of the ongoing holiday calendar, the air is serious, practical and sober, focused on responsibilities and long-term ramifications. All the major bodies are in close contact with either the Sun and Moon or the ruler of their current sign, Saturn. The messages are cohesive and interlocked. The era that has been dawning begins now in earnest.

We are at the first Capricorn New Moon in the new Pluto in Capricorn cycle, and the planet of ultimate and unavoidable transformation is at the doorway. Mercury, the Sun and the Moon have already passed through Pluto's disassembling and purifying embrace. Mars, the planet that governs how we propel ourselves out into the world, is waiting to meet him Sunday. The mind, the ego, the heart and our internal drive are intensified and acting as one. Their fusion strips life down to the core and creates a laser-focus on desires, survival needs and personal bottom lines. We know what we feel, what we want, and where we want to go, and we have, for now, an unapologetic and unshakable ability to back this knowledge up with action. (Ruthless, some people are going to call it.) Detours and distractions lose appeal in this kind of cosmic weather. The weekend is unlikely to see a mad whirl of socializing, since the impulse will run to being alone or with people who are important to you or your future.

The experience of time could be quite extraordinary, with the sensation that the distance has collapsed between the present and the future. Capricorn has the zodiac's most heightened awareness of the connection between now and later. Every choice, every action, every condition in the current moment has direct consequences, many of which you can perceive in advance if you will only pay attention. Look closely now. You are laying the groundwork for the next 15 years. What's the condition of your personal infrastructure? What and who are the supports on which you base your life? What's the state of your ability to take care of yourself? To what extent do you still expect someone or something to take care of you? What will you do if the system fails? What safeguards can you put into place?

Long-term goals come into focus without exertion in the light of this New Moon. You'll be going about your daily business and awaken into a knowing of what you deeply, non-negotiably want to be and do. That awareness will make it the most natural thing in the world to scale back on anything that interferes with those desires or that diverts or squanders resources you need for pursuing them. See if you don't become attuned to little sinkholes of time and money and start shutting down the flow to them. Maybe you'll cut some items of your budget altogether and lower your expenses. Maybe you'll drop something out of your budget and spend the same amount of money on something that furthers your goals. Maybe you'll actually write up a budget, or simply take note of where money is coming in and going out. You could surprise yourself. The North Node is making an a growth-encouraging aspect to the Sun and Moon. This is your life – not your parents', not your partner's, not your children's, not your programming's. Your life. It's time to take it seriously.

Focus and cut back on the physical level, but expand on the mental. Saturn, the New Moon's ruler, is working with Jupiter and Mercury, so it will be easy to think and dream up bigger, grander goals that are imminently practical, workable and within your grasp. Saturn's inconjunct to Venus, Neptune and Chiron indicates that adjustments in relationships or money matters are in order. A shift in responsibilities might be called for, or perhaps tinkering with projections and illusions; in any event, the choice will work around and put balm on long-standing emotional wounds. New perspectives and liberation from old ways of doing things are also possible. Saturn's still in a fractious relationship with Uranus, and their rumblings continue to destabilize the status quo.

All manner of resolutions will be in your thoughts and in the air all weekend, not just for the new year, but for the long future stretching out ahead. Give them serious thought. This is an earth Moon, so put them into concrete and tangible form. Break them into detailed steps; write them down. You have the clarity to articulate them accurately and precisely, the incentive to commit to them and the gumption to start taking action to make them happen.

Pluto in Capricorn is reallocating power. Take yours back. The process starts with your thinking, your goals, your choices and your actions under this New Moon.

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun and the Moon at 7 Capricorn is
A VEILED PROPHET SPEAKS SEIZED BY THE POWER OF A GOD.

Commentary: . ‘A Veiled Prophet Speaks Seized By The Power of a God’. The ‘Veiled Prophet Speaks’ can picture anyone, or any thing, that can bring information or knowledge through to others who are willing to listen. The ‘Veiled Prophet’ may be someone who holds the key to questions that need to be answered. They can be a mouthpiece for the agenda of others.

Oracle: . Information is coming through someone, or something, and it can be difficult to know whether to fully trust it. With the modern age of communications we are in now, we can receive incredible amounts of information. This can include all sorts of theories and wonders. Some will be useful and some stretch the truth. With such power in one’s words, we have to be careful about what we say as well as what we hear. As this is a ‘Veiled Prophet’ there can be complications associated with the “message” that’s being spoken. As the ‘Prophet’ is ‘Seized By The Power of a God’, it can be very powerful and useful knowledge that is being bestowed. Sometimes these messages have fabulous revelations and kernels of truth that can lead you on a quest for more insight into how the world operates. There’s often words and insights we can live our lives by. Not everyone will be swayed or influenced by this ‘Prophet’, however he or she can have an immense ‘Power’ of attraction and persuasion. Remember to be careful to sift through the real meaning of what’s being said. Look carefully for the signs-is it truth that you are being fed? This powerful energy can be used for the good of all involved, or it can just lead people astray. The old saying goes that words are like a “sword”, they can cut deeply and leave a vast impression, for good and for bad.

Keywords: . Hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion. Manipulation of lesser beings. Having insights that transport to another level. Channeling and medium ship. Translations. Prophets and bringers of messages. Empowerment. Messages erupting. Speaking. Announcing. Bearing important messages. Power. Charisma.

The Caution: . Conscious manipulation and propaganda. Not owning up to all the elements of one’s personality. Denying expression. Blurting out things that hurt or alienate. Barging into other’s conversations. Leading people astray with exaggeration or lies.

Talking and eloquence are not the same: to speak and to speak well are two things. A fool may talk, but a wise man speaks. . Ben Jonson

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling like dew, upon a thought, produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think. . Lord Byron

The most essential gift for a good writer is a built-in, shockproof, shit detector. This is the writer’s radar and all great writers have had it. . Ernest Hemingway

In medieval times, people thought that evil spirits could enter a person through an open mouth. These days they more often leave that way. . David Deckert

The devil can cite scripture for his purpose. . William Shakespeare

When God wants to speak and deal with us, he does not avail himself of an angel but of parents, or the pastor, or of our neighbor. . Martin Luther

The great masses of the people … will more easily fall victims to a great lie than to a small one. Adolf Hitler
