Weekly Weather Forecast
Several cycles shift gears up this week. The Moon reaches fullness, Mercury goes direct and Venus changes signs. By the weekend, we'll have a clearer understanding of the relationship issues from the past month or so and be ready for some fun.
The current Moon cycle culminates in Tuesday's Full Moon in Aries, which spotlights how and how well we get along with each other. In any given relationship, where does the emphasis fall: On you? On the other? Somewhere between the two of you? Severe imbalances can be redressed now. Neptune, the planet of transcendence and escapism, is making exact, helpful contacts to the Sun and Moon. Use his wisdom to bring divine Love and guidance into your interactions. Fresh perspectives and renegotiating ground rules are possible, with Uranus making growth and adjustment aspects to the Moon and Sun.
The day after the Full Moon, Mercury stations and turns direct on Wednesday. Communication matters should gradually begin to look and move forward, rather than revisiting past business or contending with the confusion, delays, complications and breakdowns that are so common during a retrograde. When Mercury began the retrograde on September 24, he was within a degree of where the Sun is on Tuesday, during the Full Moon. Watch for the themes of the retrograde to crescendo during the Full Moon. The circumstances and emotions that come to a head will involve how and what we have been communicating in our relationships. Watch, too, for it to feel as if the Full Moon is going on all week. Mercury's special relationship to this Full Moon, and his stationing before its light has dimmed, will continue the Full Moon's energy until he begins moving forward Friday.
Right after Mercury gets moving and the Full Moon stops reverberating, Venus leaves the darkness of Scorpio for the happy trails of Sagittarius. This is turf she enjoys, full of freedom, adventure, spontaneity and parties. All our interactions should noticeably lighten. After the intensity she's been through in Scorpio, she's ready for fun. Let her have some this weekend. Have some for yourself, while you're at it.
Monday: Rumblings of tomorrow's Full Moon fill the day. Watch for emotional about-faces (within you and without you) and communication showdowns. If you feel like you're riding a relationship see-saw, observe the motions. The day is full of clues.
Tuesday: A direct line opens between the Sun and Neptune, the Moon and Neptune drop a brass ring down within your reach, and then it's show time for the Full Moon. Remember: it's a drama. Today's episode examines how power is allocated in each of your relationships. If you are experiencing combative emotions (yours or the other person's), something is out of balance and needs to be addressed. Look at the situation's dynamics as a seesaw. Are you taking turns going up and down? Is one end so weighted down that it's hard for the other one to come out of the air? Has one of you gotten off the seesaw? If you detect an ongoing imbalance and you're the one that's feeling combative, two more questions: Have you mentioned the imbalance to the other person? And considered that the person you are really angry with is yourself?
Wednesday: The power analysis continues into the dream world, where we work on the nerve to speak up. Today's Mercury station affects our inner timing. We'll be drawn to address old business and sense the right moment is on the way for new. If you feel the time is not right to speak yet, listen to your hunch. An adjustment in perspective or your thinking is likely that will affect what you intend to say. Monitor frustrations, though. Pressure cookers could blow tonight. Let off steam first by going for a walk, dancing, beating a pillow against the floor.
Thursday: The tumult is noticeably subsiding, and the air is calmer today. Enjoy the ease and flow of the morning. Life feels more grounded, and it's possible to find your center and be productive in a way we haven't been all week. If communications take on an edge late in the day, the reason is probably not that you're tired from working. Look at the topic. Is it something you're resisting?
Friday: This is Venus’ last full day in Scorpio, and she prepares for departure with a final contact to the sign's ruler, Pluto. Any transaction that symbolizes your sense of personal value will be charged and intense. Since the two money planets are touching, financial dealings could be especially important. Social interactions will have a compelled, magnetic quality,, much of them taking place away from public view. Venus and Pluto are making a semi-sextile, an aspect that fosters growth. Learn from everything that has come to light this week. You get to do things differently today.
Saturday: Venus moves into Sagittarius and immediately sparks with its ruler, optimistic, more-is-better Jupiter. Troubles lift; people laugh and smile. The shift will be so remarkable that you may well notice when it happens. Put aside whatever your mind is chewing. Shelve heavy conversations; forget about the seesaw. The song of the day is Louis Armstrong's “What a Wonderful World.” Explore a part of it today and tonight. You won't have to look far for companions.
.
Sunday: Finally, a quiet day, with very few aspects, and none during the bulk of the daylight hours. The Moon's in Cancer, so there's every incentive to stay home and nest. Little tasks are satisfying (laundry, picking up, vacuuming), but leave room among them for enjoying simply being under your own roof. Have a leisurely breakfast. Bake. Stretch out in a comfy chair and take a nap with a blanket over you and the sun streaming through the window. Nurture yourself and the people you love.
Mundane: Eris, the goddess of discord, is teaming with the Full Moon in Aries. The feminine will express itself through a brash, aggressive, fearless woman who stirs up controversy. Sounds like Sarah Palin to me. Supporters and detractors alike have been calling her a pit bull, but her campaign appearances of the past few weeks have struck me as sparking and fanning flames in her audiences. Something will ignite this week, and she may get caught in the back draft.
