6 Sagittarius 32
Years from now, we’re going to look back at the end of May 2010 as a dividing line. Life as we know it is changing forever, and the Sagittarius Full Moon is the doorway between the old and new. Major, major swan songs, goodbyes and saga endings are already underway; bold, startling and invigorating new chapters are erupting into being, or will momentarily. There will be no more standing still, dallying, over-thinking, reviewing the checklist or taking a last look around. And there will be no going back. It’s not a question of whether we’re going to go through the door. Nobody gets to stay behind.
The difference between the old and the new may, at least at first, be largely mental and philosophical. Sagittarius, the Moon’s current home, is the sign of the higher mind. It is where and how we take the information flow from Gemini — the Sun’s current home — and expand it into systems of thinking, including beliefs. Go back to my second line: Life as we know it is changing. This means as we think of it, as our minds process it and as we believe it to be. Yes, outer circumstances are likely to be quite different, ultimately, in this next new phase of existence, but the big initial shift involves what we’re doing with our minds. There is a direct correlation between how we think about something and what we experience. Our thoughts are filters that color everything we experience (if you look for what’s wrong in a situation, you’re going to find something). Our thoughts also directly lead to what we experience, whether you prefer to call it self-fulfilling prophecy or the Law of Attraction. The developments that come to a head under this Full Moon are the fruition of the world view we’ve had. Aspects of it have run their course. For one thing, this world view came about when our minds enjoyed priority status. We are to no longer lead with the mind, but with the heart, an evolution that has been unfolding steadily over the past year. We will shortly — very shortly — be launching new approaches. The more beneficial ones will use the heart to propel us into the next big phase (and the Sabian Symbol for the Moon speaks directly to this). The head still has the power to propel, of course, but it is likely to land us in a place of uncertainty and fear.
A Full Moon, on its own, always has a quality of ending and shifting gears, because it escalates and sums up whatever has been developing during the Moon cycle. May’s Full Moon has a grander end-of-an-era nature for a number of reasons. This Full Moon is taking place at the cosmic equivalent of 11:59 PM on New Year’s Eve. This Moon brings its cycle to fruition the instant before Uranus, planet of radical change and innovative perspectives, completes its current 84-year tour of the zodiac and moves from the very last degree of the zodiac to the very first degree. Here’s how close to the brink this Full Moon is: At the exact moment of the Full Moon, Uranus is in the last measurable increment of the last degree of Pisces (29 degrees 59 seconds) and moves into the first measurable increment of Aries less than three hours later. And during that two and three-quarter hour waiting period — not to mention during the build-up the three weeks prior — Uranus is in the close company of bigger-is-better Jupiter. Jupiter is not only the ruler of the Sagittarian Moon, but he is also the traditional ruler of Pisces, the zodiac’s last sign, where Uranus has been for the past seven years.
Jupiter’s proximity is upping the impact of Uranus at the end of the zodiac. The two will not meet exactly until both of them are in Aries, in early June, but they are working together now all the same. They have been amplifying the structure rattling that is still ongoing from the Saturn/Uranus opposition, including by whipping up unfinished business from their final opposition on the Virgo/Pisces axis at the end of April. Jupiter’s thrown his considerable weight on the side of breaking free, kicking out walls and breathing in fresh, fresh air. Teetering situations that have somehow withstood the earlier shake-ups may well finally give way now — which leads to the heightened emotions of this Full Moon. In particular, situations are toppling that were built on a world view or belief system that are having their last gasp under this Full Moon. Jupiter and Uranus have been ramping up jitters, weepiness, flow of emotions, awareness of attachments and connections, and a thirst for experiences with greater meaning than punching a time clock and paying your bills. The duo’s teamwork has also stirred the waters so much that boundaries have become blurred. It’s highly possible, if you’ve been feeling crazed, nervous or apprehensive, that you picked up some of these emotions from your environment — that you have been acting like a sponge without knowing it, soaking up reactions from people around you. Because Jupiter goes for grand gestures, his presence is making the endings going on now really big, dramatic and unmistakable.
Jupiter and Uranus are taking a lot of situations to their extremes. Some of those extremes are turning out to be jaw-droppingly illogical, while some are showing how we have lied to ourselves or fallen for someone else’s illusion and deception. Jupiter and Uranus are occupying waters ruled by Neptune, the bringer of transcendence, on the one hand, and the cosmic fog machine, on the other. Neptune’s connection also brings a cycle-ending quality to this Full Moon. Last year, Jupiter and Neptune were traveling together in a growth aspect to Uranus. Neptune is still in that aspect, but Jupiter has moved to traveling with Uranus, to the end of the zodiac. Big evidence of growth is surfacing. Notice how your heart has opened up, how your connection to spirit has integrated into the daily fabric of life, and how compassionate you have grown toward yourself as well as others.
Two other cycle endings happen on the far side of this Full Moon. Mercury clears his retrograde shadow the next day and moves beyond communication and transportation issues that we’ve been dealing with since mid-April. His gear switch also shifts our mental focus forward and makes our minds more amenable to leap into the new phase with the heart at the fore (because Mercury is in Taurus, a sign ruled by heart-centered Venus). Saturn stations direct on May 30, ending the retrograde that he has been in since early January. All the Saturn-ruled areas of life — commitments, obligations, responsibilities — will be shifting into a future-oriented mode and adapting more readily to the new paradigm. And in Saturn’s home ground of Capricorn, Pluto is making a growth aspect to the Moon and adjustment aspect to the Sun. Our beliefs are evolving, as we are making choices about information sources, flow and processes and eliminating those that no longer work, fit or support us.

CUPID KNOCKING AT THE DOOR OF A HUMAN HEART
Commentary: ‘Cupid Knocking at the Door of a Human Heart’ is an image of love asking to be let in. Barriers and defenses may be keeping him from coming inside, but how long will the ‘Heart’ be able to resist? Opening the door to one’s ‘Heart’ can lead to new opportunities and possibilities around the issue of relationships. Finding “the key” to the ‘Heart’ can lead to big realizations about one’s self and others.
Oracle: It is particularly important to allow your heart center to open when you are in caring company as this can lead to amazing new things happening in your life now. By releasing your emotions and letting your guard down you open up the possibility for romantic love. However, do look out for any unrealistic projections onto others and the need for seeking love, salvation or joy only through the other. We must find it in ourselves first before finding it in another, if that is what we really want. Having your consciousness overwhelmed with the thought, love or presence of another can be uplifting, but it can also become a burden. Being consumed with the love of a person can be quite stifling, whether you are on the giving or the receiving end. This is especially so if your affections are not reciprocated. If the other person doesn’t respond in the same way, it can lead to sadness, bitterness and obsessive tendencies. Certain relationships can feel fated or impossible to ignore. Another aspect of this Symbol is that you may already be in a relationship with someone and a new love pops up unexpectedly. Is someone tapping you on the shoulder whilst you’re busy not taking any notice? What is the true depth of your relationship? Regardless, as ‘Cupid is Knocking’, it appears that something wonderful is trying to get into your life. Are you resisting the new urge?
Keywords: Respectful invitation of love. Seeing purity of motive. Fear of commitment. Fear of romance. A key or an arrow. Cupids and cherubs. Unlocking the heart. One-pointed, focused energy, which can become obsessive. Softening one’s boundaries. Cupid’s bow. The need to lighten up one’s approach to others.
The Caution: Waiting instead of taking the initiative. Rejecting love or emotion for fear of losing independence. Keeping up a strong, brave, severe face when one could be loosening up and enjoying another. Barriers and defenses around the heart. Seeing potential lovers in everyone. Being attracted to those you wouldn’t normally notice.

Lynda Hill’s interpretation of the Sabian Symbol for the Sun at 7 degrees Gemini is:
AN OLD-FASHIONED WELL WITH THE PUREST AND COLDEST OF WATERS.
Commentary: ‘An Old-Fashioned Well With The Purest and Coldest of Waters’ pictures a reliable, sustainable and refreshing supply of the essence of all life -’Water’. Over the years, the ‘Water’ from the ‘Well’ has been available to all who came to draw on it. This ‘Well’ can supply ‘Water’ to a single person, a small family, or a big community. ‘Wells’ symbolize sources of nourishment, the quenching of thirst, and can show inner wisdom, and the depth of people, emotionally and spiritually. The people of old saw ‘Wells’ as gateways to the spirit world where the veils between human existence and the greater spirit became thinner, and communications could take place with the gods and goddesses of the nature religions. The fact that this ‘Old Well’ has ‘The Purest and Coldest of Waters’ shows that wisdom and nourishment has not diminished over time. There is always a plentiful supply for all those who draw on the ‘Well’ with the right attitude and with sincerity.
Oracle: You are able to access the ‘Well’ through faith and self-confidence and the ability to respond to others on all levels, particularly emotionally. In order to partake of the benefits of the ‘Well’, you will need to make the effort to draw the ‘Water’ from the ‘Well’. There should be nothing or no one to stop you. You probably don’t need to employ your thoughts as much as your beliefs, compassion and love. You may, however, need a long rope and patience to reach into the depths. Imagine yourself with a big strong bucket that is being filled with what you need. The greatest barrier to partaking of these ‘Waters’ is to disregard the value of the ‘Well’ because it is ‘Old’ or because it is not “on tap”. Feeling like you can tap into the essence of a person, a situation or some knowledge can be very nourishing, rewarding and illuminating.
Keywords: Knowing how to be nourished and satisfied. Being supported by the environment. Clarity of thought and perception. Links to the past that are deep and sustaining. Drawing on deep resources. Things you can draw and rely upon. The pool of universal experience. Oasis. Believing in others. Ensuring water supplies. Cool, refreshing water.
The Caution: Not trusting advice based on established ideas. Being naive to the sincerity and depth of others. Judging by appearances. Not recognizing inner values. Droughts, emotional and literal. The well drying up, leaving nothing to nourish. Muddying of issues that make them difficult or impossible to tap. Stagnant water. Poisons. Moulds.
Few men during their lifetime come anywhere near exhausting the resources dwelling within them. There are deep wells of strength that are never used. Richard E. Byrd
We never know the worth of water till the well is dry. English Proverb
I worked for a menial’s hire, Only to learn, dismayed, That any wage I had asked of Life, Life would have gladly paid. Jessie Rittenhouse
How many times has the water you’re drinking been drunk before? Anon
