The Piscean dynamic is really the focus this week. In every one of us exists the consciousness of Pisces, not just those with personal connections to this sign or the planet Neptune in their birth chart. Pisces, like all of the other signs of the zodiac, in the language of Cosmic Astrology is an aspect of the One consciousness – you know, like the flavors of ice cream bit. And while all of us individually are on yearly cycles of our own related to our birth days, the collective consciousness, of which we are a part, is currently focused here on the qualities of Pisces. Like understanding the Mayan calendar, grasping multiple cycles and influences happening simultaneously requires nonlinear conceptualizing. Maybe this is what the traditional symbol of Pisces really means; two fish swimming in opposition could just be a 2 dimensional depiction of spiraling energy? The upgraded 5D symbol of Pisces is the Limitless Field of Potential, a kind of spiral in and of itself.
It is a big deal now that we have such a concentration of influences (planets) in Pisces – Sun, New Moon on Tuesday, Mercury, Venus, Neptune, and the asteroids Pallas and Vesta. Piscean energy is hard to define; it doesn’t contain well and definition is containing. But the main 5D quality to keep in mind is that Piscean experiences at the core are designed to evoke personal mastery. Depending on what glasses you are wearing, it also makes apparent any lack of mastery. I once heard a great healer say that all alcoholics are perfectionist at heart. Take a moment to contemplate that. Mastery isn’t perfection…it is mastery. Perfection feels static to me, while mastery is multifaceted. Mastery also involves focus and sustained effort. My husband is a highly skilled classical painter and I’m always struck when he reflects on “talent,” he’s said roughly, “Talent is not what has made be a skilled painter, but desire. I have a strong motivational desire to improve my craft.” Desire, longing, dreaming…these are Piscean/Neptunian (manifestation of these things, however, requires some earthy elements).
Unlike last week, the aspects are less frequent and quieter, but not to be underestimated. This week the Moon goes from dark, to new, to crescent. Fat Tuesday happens to coincide with the new Pisces Moon – unabashed fantasy or divine inspiration? For those who celebrate Carnival, I would think this one will be one of the dreamiest. The Moon will yet be illuminated, so partying may be somewhat subdued, but it could also really bring out the darker feminine qualities, too. Perfect. Pisces is also where we start to feel the possibility of unconditional love, which asks us to embrace everything and shun no-thing. Whatever your inclination is, that there are many people across the globe preparing this week for a 40 day commitment (Lent) should help us all collectively focus on what we want for ourselves and our life in the Moon cycle before us. Discipline is close to impossible in this energetic without heart, love, being the motivation. This is prime time to really ask yourself (you undoubtedly already know) where you’d like to start attaining mastery and begin (oh, Higher Self, please help me heed my own advice!). Just coming out of the Aquarian influence of the Sun and Neptune in that sign, we should all be in a place where we are ready to stop pussyfooting around. Anchors away!
The Moon is in Aquarius and appropriately, today is the Hindu celebration of Maha Shivratri, celebrating Lord Shiva, a destroyer god (aka Uranus, ruler of Aquarius). I honestly don’t know much about the holiday, but that today is also the last day of the current Moon cycle makes it a doubly good day to clear the decks. This need not involve any busy-body action, but more meditation and quantum level clearing. Here is a great personal energy clearing exercise from the first energy hygiene expert I ever met, Jill Leigh: Running Energy
Get your party on! It might be slow going at first, though. The Moon is void of course for half of the day EST, but when the Moon moves into Pisces at 12:31pm EST we will be in the feeling the vastness of the Sun conjunct Moon event. The Moon will first meet up with Neptune and by the end of the night sextile Jupiter (Pisces’ 5D ruler). Anything goes. Keep one foot in this world and be safe. Enjoy the natural bliss of this day.
The Moon is in Pisces all day, but does go void of course late in the evening at 9:42pm EST. Ideally, the events of yesterday inspire you now to practice detachment (Ash Wednesday) and sink your chops into an aspect of mastery in your life. The Moon is brand new; the soil is particularly rich and fertile for planting intentions. For this cycle, the bigger the dream, the better. Read Anna Chapman’s new Moon report to feel the beauty and vastness the potential this Moon holds.
Mercury opposes Mars today, which helps us see more clearly what it is the Mars retrograde cycle is helping us to realign. The Moon is void of course all day long, which means meditation, contemplation, and tidying up are the things “to do.” A point of note, Mercury enters its shadow phase on the 27th, so use the next few days to be intentional and get done what is “almost ready” in your life. Of course, if you don’t that is fine too, because the Mercury cycle will give you a chance to refine, but it does add on quite a few more weeks to the process you in.
With the Moon in Aries our energy lifts a bit. This is your best day so far for making strides toward fulfilling your intentions of the month. The Moon is in its Crescent phase now, which can be thought of as an incubation time. It is where energy and heat are built up to eventually cause the seed to sprout. The Sun conjucts Chiron in early Pisces and the core issues we’ve been working on healing have light shed on them. This is about unconditional love, which starts with loving yourself as such. Visit the pain, but don’t stay there too long (sage advice from healer Derek O’Neill). Just see where more love and light are needed and give it to yourself no questions asked.
The Moon is in Aries all day today, and while it is not packed with aspects, quality connections are made. The Moon conjuncts Venus and the Sun sextiles mighty Jupiter. These are feel good aspects for sure. Jupiter, our social conscience, is traveling through the sign of Taurus, which is all about mental love. Look for signs around you that signal your own inner move toward choosing loving thoughts and positive results achieved by living by the integrity of your heart connection.
The Moon is in Taurus for most of the day today, energizing our intuitive faculties. The Moon sextiles Neptune, Pallas, and Chiron throughout the day. This is a very powerful, connected and inner voice heeding kind of day. This is a day to listen to your inner voice like no other. It may not make any cognitive sense, so this is where you must feel your way from your heart center and surrender to the unknown while gently letting go of your fears and deeping your ability to trust.
