Significant Planetary Aspects for:

Are you starting to get the hang of how life works now? Are you making decisions more with your heart or gut than based on whatever your mind is strategizing or worrying about? We are continuing to blend energies and modes of being that have long been treated as separate. The process has been going on for enough weeks that it’s starting to take on the air of normalcy. Our hearts have come to the fore, and so has a connection to something greater than one individual’s ego.

Our inner male and female are solidifying the alignment they achieved this spring, with Venus and Mars both in her home base of Taurus and heading toward their June 21 merging. Heart and mind are locking into working in tandem, just as the spiritual (and/or communal) and earthly aspects of existence are coming together in one cohesive package. Non-rational guidance is gaining equal footing with what our conscious minds tell us, and we are opening more and more to the benefits of working with spirit and within a community, which could just as easily be chosen as the usual geographical kind.

This second part of the process is going on for the rest of the year, as Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron remain close together in the late degrees of Aquarius and travel in a growth aspect to Uranus the awakener, in Pisces. That process has now entered a stage that will prolong it like gentle taffy pulling. Last week, Neptune and Chiron went retrograde, who embody the dichotomy of transcending the earthly, on one end, and learning to function squarely within it despite physical or emotional impediments, on the other. This week, Jupiter, the influence of expansion, moves off the exact degree of conjunction with Neptune and Chiron, only to station and go retrograde in the dark of next Monday morning. The final member of this traveling party, Uranus, will go retrograde in a couple of weeks, at the beginning of July, and then we’ll have three months with all members retrograde. Jupiter will go direct in mid-October, Neptune and Chiron follow at the beginning of November, and Uranus turns direct a month after them. We have months to get used to incorporating spiritual existence into daily, earthly life. No matter what you call it — down time, contemplation, meditation, prayer, daydreaming, napping — frequent times out are essential for this, to enable us to become quiet and still enough to process with our inner senses as well as our physical ones.

Mercury, the planet of communication, is about to move out of Taurus as well as the shadow of his recent retrograde. This week he is revisiting turf he crossed in the last week of April and the first two weeks of May. Match his pace and go slowly; it’s worth it. There will be plenty of time for minds and chatter to dart happily all over creation once he reenters his Gemini home Saturday evening. Until then, the week is full of information and messages with practical use and tangible value. This is especially so Tuesday and Wednesday when he contacts Uranus and each member of the Aquarius cluster. The Uranian contact promises opportunities for insight and liberation. This is good for conversations that you want to instigate, but also bodes well for receiving out of the blue disclosures and messages that hold a key. Mercury’s encounters with Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter (in that order) force information out and compel action. Watch for lies, deception and confusion to come out into the open, particularly involving financial dealings, relationships and attitudes. The same influences could cause the unscrupulous to lie and cover their tracks. If you’re suspicious of someone or a situation, ask for true colors to be revealed. Mercury’s hard aspects could well dislodge them.

Monday we get another soft launch, much like last week’s. The Moon is void of course in Sagittarius for almost the entire workday (depending on your location), from just before 10 AM to 4:01 PM EDT. The last contact the Moon makes before going out of aspect is to to her ruler Jupiter, which is not conducive to diving into demanding projects. It will feel as if the weekend is still going on. Venus trines Pluto mid-afternoon within the void. The goddess of love and money is happy to be back home and she’s well-disposed, for a change, to the lord of the underworld. The enhancements you’ve been making in your sense of self-worth bring tangible reward now, because harmonious energy is flowing between the two money planets. Payoff in relationships is also possible, particularly if you act from a base of healthy personal power. Use meetings for team-building and improving morale, but rachet down expectations of any solid work being accomplished, at least until the Moon changes signs. When she enters Capricorn late afternoon, the shift will be startling and palpable. We’ll go from having a good time to bam! Noses to the grindstone. Expect to get the bulk of your work done at the end of the day.

Tuesday and Wednesday the focus is on the traveling party of Jupiter/Chiron/Neptune semi-sextile Uranus. Cosmic messenger Mercury contacts all of them over these two days, so they will be full of messages from higher and lower aspects of the cosmic fog. Communication will pour out of our greater communities and also involve our own physical and emotional healing. Mercury’s opportunity aspect to Uranus on Tuesday brings insight and revelations and opens doorways to communication. (It’s up to us to walk through them.) His square to Neptune and Chiron late Tuesday afternoon and early evening dislodges (or precipitates) secrets, hidden data, lies and confusion about mundane matters, likely with financial or practical implications. Be alert for signs of how you have deluded yourself about physical or emotional wounds (or how you have transcended their limiting impact). The same influence can help you connect to creative and spiritual inspiration. If you need to write something, go to it now. The air is thick with a sense of evolution as well, as Uranus the awakener and transcendent Neptune complete an exact growth aspect Tuesday. This should clear any sense of being fogged in you’re experiencing and could move creative endeavors into inspired territory. Chiron the wounded healer is with Neptune in this aspect by degree, so note how far you’ve come (or overcome); note how much you’ve matured. The Moon makes the same growth aspect on Wednesday to the Aquarius cluster, plus an opportunity aspect to Uranus. Our hearts are expanding, and so is the role they now play in our internal guidance system. We are opening to more emotionally free and satisfying situations.

Thursday is action day. Mars faces Jupiter down by declination first thing in the morning and shoots us into the day with a sense of urgency. We are compelled to practical action, very possibly moving forward on information that Mercury obtained for us over the preceding two days. The mundane world is where we work everything out now. Almost everything, that is. Put paper and pen by the bedside, because information is coming overnight.

Friday morning’s dreams reflect the Moon’s friction with Uranus and meeting with Mercury by declination. Our sense of security is uneasy, even threatened. The dream world shows us why and how, so make note of anything you recall upon awakening. Our emotions are catching up with all the messages of the week. The complete absence of major aspects on Friday gives us the entire day to mull this over. We begin a process of assimilation as the Moon joins Jupiter and Neptune by declination.

The process carries over into Saturday, when the Moon joins Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron by by zodiacal degree and makes a growth aspect to Uranus. It’s a day of catching up and emotionally assimilating all the messages and developments that have rained down from the traveling party this week. Communications may be pressured or less than comfortable. Remember that everyone is playing catch up. Late evening, Mercury comes home to Gemini at last and a sense of ease, naturalness and lightness returns to our thinking and communications.

Sunday has only three aspects. The Moon sextiles to the cosmic lovers, Venus and Mars, and brings the opportunity to put relationships on solid, comfortable ground and feed our own emotional needs as well. The third aspect occurs just over the boundary into Monday EDT, but is still on Sunday elsewhere in the continental US: an opposition between the Moon and Saturn, which weights down and dampens emotions. Pads and pens by the bedside again, please, because the overnight hours will teem with information. The Moon/Saturn contact will direct our attention to obligations, responsibilities and impediments to our well-being. A Moon/Uranus meeting will turn on a bright light that will still be affecting our metaphoric vision when we awake (which might be moments after the lightning bolt hits). With Jupiter going retrograde a couple of hours before dawn EDT, we’ll begin next week with phase two, the retrograde, of the Aquarius cluster, which will be with us far into the fall.

Note: I thank all the readers who have emailed about the impact that the Aquarian/Pisces traveling party is having on them. Even though Jupiter, Neptune and Chiron have been moving into aspect for weeks and we’ve had some time to get used to them, their combined impact is still having a disorienting effect on a lot of people. If the Aquarian cluster is on top of or opposing a major point in your chart (especially your Sun, Moon or Ascendant), you are strongly under its influence. I am hearing tales of this happening as well to people with 1955-56 birthdays, whose natal Jupiter/Pluto conjunction is being opposed by the cluster. If the cluster is activating your chart, your prior ways of taking in information and navigating this world are dissolving, and you are now getting input from many levels simultaneously. (Yes, this is happening to everyone to some extent; charts with tight aspects to the cluster are getting a stronger dose of it.) For some people, this is causing moments of operating outside the realm of language, with data and concepts coming in that aren’t (yet) recognizable as having an association with any particular word. If you are experiencing blanks in your thinking or confusion or slowed thought processes, you aren’t going nuts; you aren’t aging prematurely; you aren’t losing your mind. You are losing the grip your mind has had on you. It no longer has to be the sole receptacle of data for you. You’re opening up to taking in information from many, many more sources than your mind alone can process. If you are in the middle of this transcendent fog, work with it. Program your dreams to answer questions and explain situations. Make a point to spend time in contemplation, meditation, prayer and visualization. Ask to be led, ask to be shown and ask for the wisdom to recognize when a request is being answered.
