Weekly Weather Report

Significant Planetary Aspects for:

Kathy is giving a teletalk on the restructuring we’re undergoing with the Saturn/Pluto square, at 9 PM EDT Thursday, November 12, $30. Visit EmpowermentUnlimited.net for info and registration.

Usually after Halloween we pack up all the scary costumes and decorations and life returns to what it was. Not this year. Even if we put the store-bought trappings away, the archetypes behind them remain very visibly in our midst. We are straddling the line between life and metaphoric death, between the future and the past that is clearing out. The Libran niceties we’ve enjoyed for the past few weeks have vanished. They take time and energy that we can not afford. When you’re on the brink of death, survival requires focused, heightened perceptions and quick, sharp decisions and words. Plenty of that is on the way.

It’s an intense week, right from the start. Monday’s Full Moon in Taurus brings an emotional measurement of the return we’re getting on our financial, psychological and intimate investments. This reawakens themes and perhaps specific situations from the Leo Full Moon solar eclipse at the beginning of August. Payoff, payback or a pay cut are all possible. Whatever unfolds for you sheds light on how you and others value your contributions.

Shortfalls are going to lead to renegotiations, realignments and departures. (Saturn and Pluto are easing into their square, and structures are giving way all around.) Don’t fear this. Many of us are in situations that are like the zombie rampage I saw in Manhattan two weeks ago: bloodied, mangled and appearing to move, but without any remaining life force or ability to connect meaningfully. The process of this Full Moon will put the living dead to rest. It’s clearing out clutter and hindrances and opening the path to the compensation in money, emotional security and enjoyment of life that the Moon wants in Taurus.

Don’t think you can escape, either. There’s no chance of coasting through this one. The atmospheric lead-in is jittery and unsettling, but fortunately occurs during dreamtime for those of us in the Western Hemisphere. We make a choice on a heart level before going into the Full Moon, then spend the bulk of the week thinking and discussing how to implement it. By Saturday, we are ready to embrace our deepest values and pursue them fearlessly. Got that? Fearlessly. So look at whatever comes up. Face it, think about it and talk about it. Relationship dynamics are undergoing restructuring, and better health is on the way all around. For more on the Full Moon, read my report on the site.

The week also brings two big planetary shifts. Neptune, which has been retrograde since the end of May, goes direct on Wednesday. He’s pivoting at the degree he reached in early February and won’t pass out of the retrograde shadow till about that time next year. With this, the entire Aquarian traveling party is facing forward again and moving toward their third round of conjunctions. (Chiron went direct at the end of last week, while Jupiter turned direct in the middle of last month.) They are gently dislodging situations that started earlier in the year and stalled or seemingly vanished this summer. Their combined forward movement is also bringing back to consciousness the bridge that now exists between our spiritual and worldly lives. Some of the year’s most ecstatic moments involved being aware of living simultaneously above and below. This awareness became hard to grasp and trust as the Aquarian trio retrograded. Many of us had a strong sense during the summer, even if surface events didn’t confirm it, of big developments occurring on alternate levels of existence. We’ve been working concepts and agreements out, with our higher selves and with each other. Watch for the alternate level activity to start showing up in our daily lives. Some reality checks are in store, too. Because Neptune is associated with deception, delusion and illusion, some matters we explored this summer may not stand up now and will disappear in a puff of smoke.

On Saturday, Venus leaves her lovely Libra home and enters Scorpio for the rest of the month. Venus is in her detriment in this sign, and when the love goddess dives into the dark and bottomless waters of Scorpio, she can make like Gollum clutching his precious. Her presence here stirs issues of possession, control, magnetic and sometimes irrational attractions and attachments. Lust and desires run high, and the compulsion to satisfy them can override social conventions and commitments. Still, this is not an entirely unpleasant place for her to be. Intensity of experience is her quest, and so exactly that is on offer to us. Deep and exciting encounters and connections can occur this month, even if not always of the kind you want to see the light of day. Venus in Scorpio is giving us a taste of the depths we can experience with others in the new relationship paradigm. Stick a toe in (but keep your eyes open). The water’s warm and inviting.

Monday: And we’re off! Dreams start the festivities with a good and rousing shaking. Our hearts are sorting through options and making decisions; our minds are still a little uncertain. Give them time to catch up. They don’t have enough information yet. Some is coming through the Full Moon’s developments, which spotlight what we’re putting into situations and how much we’re getting out. How much we’re valued is a theme. Even with the emphasis on cold hard cash and some irritated outbursts, love does rule the day. Look for it in every situation and point it out to your mind.

Tuesday: Step back and take it all in. The skies make assimilating the natural order of things with a half-day void of course Moon, from just after 1 PM EST to nearly midnight. A square to Neptune sends the Moon into the void, an aspect that amplifies the need for quiet time during the void. Attempts to push matters forward this afternoon will bring confusion at most. Let your mind wander. Shut the door, turn off the phone and sit quietly. Empty yourself and simply be.

Wednesday: It’s another day for quiet and floating. Meditate; sit; go with the flow. It’ll become clear soon enough what to do and say. Take the down time. You’ll understand more by the end of the day.

Thursday: Clarity arrives. The Sun joins Mercury by degree and on the ecliptic. You’ll know loud and clear what you think about the Full Moon’s developments and what you want and need to address with others. This is not a day for trading email jokes. Communications are important and weighty. When you’re firm and resolute, no one has the wiggle room to push back. With that in mind, watch how conversations play out.

Friday: Lots to talk about today. Conversations head in one direction and the scope will grow bigger, bigger and bigger. Take responsibility for your thoughts, your assumptions and conclusions and most of all for the way you express yourself to others. Mercury’s links to Jupiter and Saturn today support our talking to each other adult-to-adult, rather than parent-and-child or like screaming kindergartners. Schedule conferences accordingly.

Saturday: Responsible communication continues. Issues that we’ve been skirting come up for direct discussion. Hard truths and hard conversations may result, but they’re aided by honesty (with ourselves, for starters) and personal responsibility, which allow no room for name calling, blame, trivialization or blurring the issue. Stakes are high; desires are passionate and deep. It’s the sort of day when divorce discussions move from threats and recriminations to sitting down and starting to figure out the property split. Workable and lasting negotiations and resolutions can come out of this. Flirtations could heat up quickly tonight.

Sunday: We still have a lot to talk about and hash out. The Sun is midway between Saturn and Pluto, who are sliding into a confrontation November 15. Structures are being demolished, and it’s incumbent on each of us to find and maintain balance amidst the demolition. Personal power and responsibility are core issues in today’s communications. Relationships are already showing signs of the next phase of their existence. Some will be more solid and committed, others more burdened and others moving into separation.
