To help you plan more in advance, Kathy now has Go-With-The-Flow Times for the month (aka a void of course Moon table) posted at her site, http://www.EmpowermentUnlimited.net.
Spring arrives this week, and that means that the doldrums of winter will soon be giving way to the excitement of new growth and possibilities. In case you haven’t been keeping up with the calendar, this year the skies are heralding the new season with an advance honor guard that will make such a racket that nobody should able to sleep through it. The honor guard’s call will startle us out of any complacency that has managed to survive the tumult of recent weeks and resound through our nocturnal dreams, memories and other hidden places, beliefs and connections of all kinds. The next sounds will be thud after thud of trappings of our lives hitting the ground as we let go, sometimes intentionally and sometimes without realizing what we’re doing. Consider it a head start on spring cleaning.
A lot is on tap for this week. It brings awakenings, openings and endings and the powerful energy surge that bursts forth with spring, all with an underlying sense of major, major movement still to come. Mars is direct but still building strength in the first degree of Leo. Monday’s New Moon in Pisces harnesses last year’s Aquarian/Pisces traveling party and places the Sun and Mercury, representing our minds and egos, under Uranus’ liberating touch. And after the Sun and Mercury get their new look — which is to say, new outlook — each of them enters Aries and starts their journey through the zodiac again.
The week starts with the New Moon in Pisces. The Sun and the Moon are meeting at the doorway of 26 Pisces, a degree that has been energized for weeks by Uranus, who is still hanging out there. He is charging up this New Moon with his penchant for the unconventional, for genius inspiration and perspectives, for breaking out of constraints and for destabilizing the status quo. This is the last New Moon that will occur while he is in Pisces during our lifetimes (at least, the lifetimes of anyone old enough to be capable of reading this). In a sense, this New Moon launches the final phase of our Uranus in Pisces chapter, which has been going on since March of 2003. This transit has shot each of us — and the collective — with a terrific amount of electric, nervous energy, like voltage in water. It’s made us more aware of our connectedness to each other, as well as to aspects of existence that we can’t grasp with our physical senses.
The energy around this is going to be a bit like depth charges being dropped into water and detonations spouting high into the sky. This New Moon is taking all the awakenings you have undergone in the past seven years and zapping you a couple more times before Uranus leaves Aries and you set out on the next seven or eight years of development.
The coming round of zaps have something to do with emotions and nurturing (the Moon), ego and sense of mission (the Sun) and how we talk, think, gather and distribute information, how we get along with siblings and how we get from place to place (Mercury). There are also elements of transcendence, escapism, compassion and illusion, mingled with core-issue healing and growing ever more comfortable with physicality, from Neptune and Chiron making a growth aspect to this Pisces cluster. Astonishing changes, breakthroughs and “Eureka!” moments are probable, with communications expert Mercury so close to genius-mind Uranus that you could barely slip a piece of paper between them. Puzzles that you’ve been trying to solve will assemble themselves, and neither the patterns nor the timing are likely to be as expected. Matters that you didn’t even suspect were puzzles will resolve themselves in novel ways that may be shocking but will definitely ride the wave of the future.
Keep in mind that puzzle pieces or solutions may not be mundane (changing your job, learning a new skill) but may exist on an energetic or conceptual level. You may well come through this transit with the circumstances of your life absolutely intact — but if you do, your approach to them will be entirely different. Your thinking and beliefs are going to change forever, with emphasis on unshackling you from limitations, constrictions and weights that have been lurking in your depths. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity — literally (and there isn’t often a time when that word can be used correctly!) — to break out of unseen chains and let your true self rise to the surface. If there’s anything that you’ve been consciously wanting to alter, or break from, or understand better or simply gain a higher perspective on, speak up! Insight will be raining down. We’re leaving alliances, situations and intangibles that don’t have a place in our futures. For more on the New Moon, read my report on the site.
As the week wears on, the warmth of Mercury and the Sun moving into Aries will help us dry out from the waves crashing off the conjunctions to Uranus in Pisces. Self-starting, rambunctious Aries stimulates both Mercury and the Sun and gives them a daring, bold, ambitious and unapologetic fieriness that suits them. We’re motivated to speak up, to assert ourselves, to leap, to pursue, to pounce, to attack and sometimes to fight. Now missing all that clutter and deadweight that Uranus liberated us from as Venus, Mercury and the Sun paraded past him, we’ll be moving about with unaccustomed lightness and quickness. An additional factor is sparking this epidemic of gung-ho fire bursts: The entrance into Aries puts Mercury and the Sun in a mutually supportive alliance with the sign’s ruler, Mars, who is still gathering his troops and gaining might in the first degree of Leo. His readying will push some people into frustration and impatience, but don’t overlook the helpful angle to his uncharacteristic cautiousness. Instead of dashing ahead into who knows what, we have the time to identify our targets and fix our sights on them with precision. Once Mars begins marching, we can take all that Aries gumption to propel us toward targets and destinations we consciously want.
Monday: The Pisces New Moon and its attendants bring us a day of gasps, radical shifts, light bulbs popping and locks and chains flying open. A lot of this will be taking place in your subconscious, your dreams, your thinking and your attitudes. Preexisting concepts, conditions and situations are in for rattling, shattering and turning every which way but the one in which they started. By evening, we’ll be wrapping our hears and then our minds around all the twists and turns (and getting on board with many of them). Let everything shake out and allow time for the dust to settle. We’ve got all night, at the least, to sit with all the revelations and changes, with the Moon void of course from mid-evening to the wee hours of tomorrow EDT. Since the aspect that kicks off the void is a conjunction to Mercury (on the heels of a conjunction to Uranus), this won’t be a quiet void, mentally or verbally. Ponder, explore and discuss, but don’t commit yet.
Tuesday: Sometimes structure feels comforting and supporting. Not today. We’re thinking about walls, boundaries, burdens, obligations, responsibilities and commitments, specifically in terms of how they negate, retard, hinder, constrain or squelch. Words, ideas and messages come easily to break them up, apart or down or to approach them in a different way. Brainstorm. Spectacular flashes of lightning are likely.
Wednesday: The mental unlocking that’s been going on starts translating into changes in how we look at ourselves and what we show of ourselves to the world. It’s like the moment in a costume ball when the masks come off and everyone sees who they’ve really been dancing with. The first and most important unmasking is yours. No more hiding behind a false front; the next stage requires your being unencumbered and nimble. Minds and mouths are hyperactive today, laying the groundwork for initiatives and projects to come.
Thursday: Tuesday’s mental focus on walls and more is still going on, this time in our dreams and subconscious overnight. They’ll continue running in the background for the first half of the day, when the Moon is void until just after noon EDT. Later, their importance (or maybe just their annoyance factor) fades in the face of evidence of unmistakable and highly beneficial improvements in our relationships. Stripping away falseness has made it possible to be more honest and real in our interactions. You’ve evolved. Accept the proof of this that arrives today.
Friday: Things you haven’t said but wish you had run through your mind throughout the night and may still be kicking around when you wake up. As they quiet down, the weekend starts early. There are a mere six aspects today, and none encourage productivity and focus. The only major one is a lovely outreach between the Moon and Jupiter mid-afternoon EDT, which just encourages kicking back. Take pleasure in your environment and the people around you. Schmooze and chat and knock off early. Work can wait till another day.
Saturday: Happy spring! The vernal equinox occurs with the Sun entrance into Aries at 1:33 PM. Mental processes and communications are all over the map today: intense, demanding, sobering and grounding, yet also innovative, insightful, liberating and triggering loud sighs of relief. There’s plenty of time to mull them all over late in the day, after the Moon goes void of course late in the afternoon. It’s an all-nighter, lasting till a couple of hours after dawn tomorrow. Take advantage of the opportunity to wind down.
Sunday: The last two days have felt like the weekend; today makes up for any sense of lost time. With the Sun trining Mars, everybody’s bursting with energy and enthusiasm. If circumstances don’t allow getting pet projects off the ground, at least get your body moving — go outside; run; take a brisk walk; play an invigorating and competitive game.
Use anything that blocks you — walls, a door closing, being told “no” — as a firm surface to push off from and spring forward.
