The news continues to disrupt and dismay, even to horrify, and yet, there seems to be a hint of hope in the air. Shift is occurring, quietly but steadily. What strikes me about this shift is that it feels solid, as its foundation is deep and strong. There is a power to it. A power that makes building anew an exciting proposition, rather than a daunting one.
For while our focus has been on rebuilding our nation and our world, it will, in fact, have to be created anew as institutions that have seemed solid are now cracked and exposed. We have seen powerful institutions that, while once designed to protect us, have unwittingly exposed serious flaws and pitfalls. Leaders worldwide seem to have lost their abilities to lead, instead falling into dysfunctional behaviors and temper tantrums.
Ugliness continues in simple human interactions as we go about our lives as best we can. Confrontations abound in public places. No one can agree on the best way to protect ourselves from Covid 19. Everything we see out there is tumultuous, chaotic and divided. And if we see it out there, what does that tell us about ourselves?
We are all cracking open and becoming exposed; the good, the bad, the ugly displayed for the world to see. Not everyone is acting out but each of us is experiencing stress-related behaviors, thoughts and emotions, all designed to break through the barriers we have erected to keep us “safe”. It is messy and often ugly but we are ripping the curtain away and seeing behind it to the truth of who we really are. The burden of carrying an increasingly heavy illusion of who and what we thought we were has become intolerable.
What do you see when you look in the mirror of the world these days? Do you recognize yourself in those you see out there? In your own behaviors, actions and thoughts?
What and who have your life choices made you?
We can no longer turn away from who we are and what we bring to the world. We can no longer allow our Shadows free rein to act out, as we see on display in the highest levels of our government.
We are Divine Beings having a human experience, and our consciousness, our deliberate awareness of who and what we are is what we came here to remember and BE. This is the hope of which I spoke in the beginning. A hint that many people are digging deeply, remembering and reconnecting with the scattered parts of themselves and allowing heart to lead the way. The election is just the next step. The real work of union is still coming and it will take all of us, working in unison, to create this beautiful new age. Walk forward knowing your light and heart will lead the way forward.
Let what you see out there remind you fully of the Divine Being created of Light and Love that you truly are. Only when we fully embrace who we are can we then build the world we want to see: a world that is inclusive and whole, built on the foundation that we are all One.
And so I am told:
Wholeness is not an act of accomplishment, it is merely and miraculously who you are. Every single particle of each being is whole. Parts that have been discarded or hidden away are not gone; they merely await your acceptance and welcome. Your heart is limitless and makes plenty of room to love the unlovable. Consciousness accords you the ability to embrace the parts you consider negative as merely mis-qualified attempts to hide fear from yourself. Consciousness is not something you must strive for; simply allow it to flourish. Each of you chose to be here now at this momentous moment and brought insight, awareness, and compassion to fully illuminate your life. Remember this. You were not sent helpless to a desert island. You came, fully prepared and ready, to change the world with your Light. This is not an ending. It is a Beginning.

Light
Another difficult week but one with a hint of hope, reminding us that we are not victims of these times. Sometimes it has felt as if we were, as we attempt to navigate the unnavigable 2020. Everything feels bigger than we are and unstoppable. We feel out of control which causes confusion and fear.
But this is not true.
What we see out there is created by us, and if that is the case, why would we choose to give our power away and let 2020 just happen to us?
It is past time we remembered who we are and why we are here.
Deep inside each of us, we believe we are not whole, that there is still something to attain out there. Ask yourself, would your soul send an incomplete you into a life? You might forget the totality of yourself but you would never be less than the entirety of YOU.
As long as we believe we are not whole unto ourselves, as long as we carry one little piece of doubt about our wholeness, as long as we believe ourselves weak and small, everything will seem bigger and unstoppable. When you fill yourself with Light, your Light, your body knows the truth of your wholeness.
Take a moment to breathe in your Light, letting it fill you completely. As you experience the light filling you up, allow yourself to feel how pure and complete it feels.
But how many times have stopped ourselves from allowing ourselves to be Light? When the monkey mind thinks about the Light, we quantify it. Is it big enough? Do others have more? Is mine good enough? Powerful enough? Our very act of observing it stops it because we bring judgement to the table.
If we want to change the world, it seems to me that it must begin and end within us, as our experience of change. As our experience of being Light with no qualifiers or quantifiers.
This week I ask you to spend time experiencing your own light. Try to do it several times a day, allowing light to fill you up completely, without judgement, without question. Fill yourself up and simply celebrate that Light, as fully and completely as you can allow. I promise, with practice, it will get easier and your awareness of your Light will expand exponentially.
And so I am told:
Your Light is who you are. There can be no separation, only denial. The denial of light has hurt humankind immeasurably. Rejecting your divine nature in favor of self-serving desires has caused you to forget that you are all one. The only way forward is to be Light, to walk in Light, to Light the way. And forward you will go, Light or no. The choice is yours.

I am beginning to understand something I did not know I didn’t understand. We talk about unity as the basis of the new world. We know that it means there is no difference between light and dark, that both sides of a polarity are one whole unit. While I understood in the abstract, the application of this has been more daunting. In the polarized world we live in, the differences are so glaring and often painful and anger-inducing. These extremes make unity seem out of reach and nearly impossible, like a pipe dream.
These last couple of weeks watching trump’s Covid carnival show has elicited a variety of emotions in me. Anger has been the predominant one, with grief, frustration, helplessness and sorrow as handmaidens. The situation is appalling and ludicrous, all at the same time.
During my meditations, I pray. I attempt to hold trump, his overly privileged family and his amoral and unethical cohorts with compassion. We all play a role in this crazy life, right? They are doing an amazing job of playing out their roles. The Breaking is here; it has to happen. The Old Age is dead; long live the New Age. Part and parcel. All one.
Even knowing all that, I struggle. Everything they stand for is odious. Their attack on every concept our world has been built on feels very personal. And it has been personal, as their words and actions directly affect the wellbeing of all of us in one way or another.
His absolute disregard for the safety of others both before he tested positive and since is abhorrent.
And yet. And yet...in my mediations over the last couple of days, I saw something else. I saw the fear of the wounded child that is the source of his adult behavior. I saw how much he just wanted to be loved and accepted. To feel special. I saw his pain.
Does this change anything? Not really. As adults, we get to decide every moment how we behave and what we take forward. His role in this life was not to learn from his losses and past but to use them as a weapon of destruction. And he has been wildly successful.
All it means is that I saw him in unity. I saw his wounding and feel enormous compassion for that child. And I see the man he has become, a man who every moment of every day chooses himself above all else. A man who came here to Break the structures of our world.
For us to ever achieve unity, we must be willing to see everyone in their entirety. We are never just one encounter, one thought, one reaction. We are a sum total of all of our experiences. We no longer really look in another person’s eyes, allowing ourselves to connect heart to heart, and that is a great loss. Seems like we have lost the ability to really see into the heart of someone else. Without that connection, that willingness, that understanding, unity is out of reach.
We have to learn again to really listen to what others are telling us. Even as we no longer use the eyes to deeply communicate, our conversations with others have, for the most part, become superficial and seldom go very deep or allow room for real openness and intimacy.
As we begin to create our new world, the possibility is that these abilities will redevelop and increase in importance. In fact, I believe many of us will find that we have just been waiting for the opportunity to be fully open and real in all our relationships and in our expression of life. Even now, the wearing of masks means our mouths are hidden and our eyes must communicate what the mouths hide. We pay more attention to eyes again.
It has occurred to me that in my overwhelming reaction to circumstances lately that I had become polarized. It took a few days for me to balance once again and regain my equilibrium, I admit it. These last two weeks hit me hard. Once I saw trump’s pain, everything equalized for me. His pain is my pain is your pain. We all have pain in our lives. The moment we acknowledge that and allow compassion to arise in our hearts for ourselves and others, we become unified. When we learn to listen and see with our hearts, we open the door to understanding. Only from there can we embrace unity.
And so I am told:
Oh bright ones, you who seek the Light with every fiber of your being, you are the future. Continue to allow doors within you to open to understanding and lead you to unity. Union is nothing more than seeing the sacred in everyone, in every thing. That is your lesson, your calling, your future, your Be-ing.
“...the seat of every single act of true power must be understanding. Otherwise, you are nothing more than an extension of chaos.”

Since the news about Trump’s illness came out I have been uncharacteristically angry. Not at him for being ill, but by the heedless behavior of him and his cohorts. Throughout much of the weekend, I was consumed with anger at the people around us who deliberately put others at risk because of their jacked-up theories and beliefs about Covid 19. Watching this national debacle with Trump’s illness and the ongoing disregard of his administration toward the safety of others, and experiencing an extremely similar situation in my own personal life that has left people I care about deliberately exposed has affected me profoundly.
And yes, there is more to come and it has to be this way. We chose to be here for this, to be the Light, to Light the way. I know that a part of me continues this sacred work while the mother and human part of me right now has been filled up to the brim with frustration and fear and rage...
It ain’t pretty but it’s real. We have all struggled this year. We rely on our own inner strength and our support systems to get us through. Some days are easier than others and some not so much. Some are just plain horrid.
As I have said before, I live with a foot in two worlds. One, the mundane, illusory world we are all participating in to some degree or another. The other foot resides in a world of unity where all is well. That is my (our) true home but because we still “live” in a world of polarity, these worlds seem separate and distant when in fact they are not. One is the dream, the illusion, and it seems to me to lie on top of the true world. A window dressing, so to speak; a costume, a role.
The higher truths sustain and balance us when the illusion becomes too close for comfort. We are being asked who we are and our every hidden aspect is being paraded out in the world for all to see and experience. We have to choose our way forward with care and deliberation. Love is the only way forward. Our anger and frustration must be honored and released, not carried forward where it might lead to further division.
And so I am told:
Transformation comes to all, with all its aches and pains. The promise of rebirth is assured as is the dawning of the new age. In the darkest moments, deep reserves are discovered and courage is found. The Hero’s Journey continues as you are asked to face your deepest fears and hidden self. Those of you born to light the way know this, even as emotion threatens to overwhelm. One must never forget that emotion is energy in motion, designed to move you from one place to another. Emotion is not who you are; it is a process of informing your inner self. Allow emotion its voice without allowing it dominance. Take time to breathe, to step away into reflection and peace to recharge and refresh. Meditate. Honor the Light within for it is the true reflection of you. Remember who you are.
You may not see it yet, but the Dawn is coming.
The shadow must be honored if the light is to dawn. Ellias Lonsdale
