The Aquarian Full Moon reminded us that we are greater than the sum of our parts. Humanity means something. When we consider humanity as an all-encompassing entity, we are appealing to our better angels. We see beyond me and you. When we elevate our thoughts about others to this higher level, we tap into our Super Consciousness and can see the larger pattern of Oneness. This is when we can receive the “wake up zaps” that inspire us to test uncharted waters. In polarity to the Aquarian quality of our consciousness is Leo, which takes us back into our perceived individuality. Leo reminds us that our individual consciousness is actually a blazing light and we each represent an internal Sun/Son. Those who have experienced Super Consciousness report that they do not see a person per se – they see the Light body and then need to refocus if they want to see the separate attributes of body, gender, age, etc. This is the age-old human dilemma – if we focus on the individual only, we neglect the reality of the commons. It may not always seem so, but what we do individually affects Everyone.
What a passage we have been through from the Cancer New Moon/close of the wormhole, which lived up to its purpose by taking us to entirely new ground. External events are developing quickly and it is almost too much to grasp from moment to moment. Thankfully, we have an Aquarian Full Moon to light up our conscious awareness, reminding us that nothing moves forward without Love. Our Aquarian quality of consciousness is where we come face to face with the core reality: we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. When we recognize this, then we learn to Love ourselves unconditionally as Source/God does. Love is Love. We all know what it feels like, even though it is difficult to describe.
The wormhole has come to an end with this New Moon in Cancer. It has been quite a ride, and unlike any other we have taken, given the global crisis with COVID-19. Each eclipse was accompanied by “sideways elevators,” to take us to new emotional ground. This is the second Cancer New Moon, punctuated between, with a Capricorn Full Moon. The Cancer New Moon on 21 June was at the beginning degrees of the Cancer quality of consciousness that we all hold. The early degrees of a sign holds the promise of all the attributes of that sign, and it is our task to make a way for them to unfold. We did that, and the Capricorn Full Moon served as a kind of physical landmark, if you will, like rocks in the middle a river, with water cascading around them. The rocks are wet, but they retain their physical form, even with water flowing all around them. The Cancer-Capricorn polarity takes us front and center to what it means to feel deeply secure, nurtured, and whole while asking us to stand up and be the authority we seek within our own lives. Within each of us is the calm, steady, and wise leader we all seek and long for, where our own voice of authority is grounded in wisdom, compassion, and Love.
The Cancer New Moon on June 21 supported us in taking a refreshed look at core feelings about our Self-identity and our lives. Capricorn, in polarity with Cancer, takes us to our connection to what we believe is Source, structure, and our personal sense of authority. This can be a bit stark unless we carry through the tender nurturing toward our Selves and others that we rediscovered during the Cancer New Moon/solar eclipse.
When the Moon is in Capricorn, we experience our feelings as if we are in a foreign country for the first time. This is really important, as the Capricorn part of our consciousness allows us to encounter emotions in a unique way. They can be experienced as fresh, and not necessarily tied to the past. In Cancer, we work with the continuity of our emotional experience and history. It is a story –our personal story – where past matters because we felt it, it informs the present and guides the future because we experienced it. This is the Cancer way. With Capricorn, we remember that our individual history is just that and that every person has a different story. Using our Capricorn quality of consciousness, each emotional response can be viewed as if it is for the first time and certainly from a different perspective.
It is enough to be part
of the fabric of life.
Flowing from the senses
in an intricate design.
Awareness watching ever new
colors and patterns.
The weavings of the mind.
